Harbour Town is located near the southern tip of Hilton Head Island. This yacht basin was meant to be round, however this gigantic, beautiful live oak got the right of way. So the harbor was build around it.
There are water sports and various types of boat rides that visitors can enjoy. Below is a pirate cruise for the kids. It sounded like fun was being had when they were coming back.
The live oaks are incredible here. This one is in a children's playground so it must get climbed often with its unique, low to the ground branches.
Amphitheaters are great for outdoor entertainment.
The oaks provide shade as well as ambiance with Spanish moss flowing in the breeze.
Perfect for a day excursion when on the island!
Have a marvelous day/evening (wherever you are on the clock)! ~Val
How pretty! I love that the yacht basin was built around the oak tree.
ReplyDeleteMe too! The oaks are well respected and protected in our state which I love!
