Windows of Charleston

Charleston is known for beautifully decorated windows.

Some windows feature both flower and iron work. Since we were here close to Easter time, this one below is also decorated with eggs.

Some just have iron work.

Others just flowers and plants.

I'm not sure what is going on with this window below with the mailbox but it caught my eye.
All green plants is not common to see in a window box. It is beautiful!

I love the reflection on some of the window panes!

Have a marvelous day/evening (wherever you are on the clock)! ~Val

Scenes from Charleston

The Joe Riley Waterfront Park in Charleston, SC is a relaxing place to be.

It is even beautiful on a cloudy day.

Walking down the shopping streets like King Street is delightful.

The variety of facades is marvelous.

Horse drawn carriage rides are available.

Old charm has been preserved like the Riviera Theater.

Old alleyways have been filled in with super skinny retail space.

It is important to look up.

It only takes 2 beers and I will pose with a random statue. Cougars are the College of Charleston's Basketball team.

There are churches everywhere!

A few art deco buildings also exist in old Charleston too.

Battery Park is filled with gigantic live oaks. We were here when azaleas were in bloom.

Longitude Lane is incredibly skinny and there are actually homes on this street. Yes cars fit on this!

Touristy parks are fun since you never know what you will encounter. This time was getting to hold a parrot. Clearly it was a windy day.

Have a marvelous day/evening (wherever you are on the clock)! ~Val

Nooks of Charleston

There is plenty of stimulus in Charleston, SC.

The nooks are filled with charm.
If you live here, you have to deal with tourists gawking at your property every day.
I do think the home owners like to show their properties off.
There is a plethora of wrought iron details to admire.
Some driveways are works of art.
There is a golf cart in this one below. It is a mode of transportation for some locals and is allowed on the roads.
The ivy is incredible!
Here is some whimsical landscaping below. So cute! I imagine real frogs find this oasis.
Have a marvelous day/evening (wherever you are on the clock)! ~Val
