The Joe Riley Waterfront Park in Charleston, SC is a relaxing place to be.
Walking down the shopping streets like King Street is delightful.
The variety of facades is marvelous.
Horse drawn carriage rides are available.
Old charm has been preserved like the Riviera Theater.
It is important to look up.
It only takes 2 beers and I will pose with a random statue. Cougars are the College of Charleston's Basketball team.
There are churches everywhere!
Battery Park is filled with gigantic live oaks. We were here when azaleas were in bloom.
Longitude Lane is incredibly skinny and there are actually homes on this street. Yes cars fit on this!
Touristy parks are fun since you never know what you will encounter. This time was getting to hold a parrot. Clearly it was a windy day.

DeleteI love horse-drawn carriage rides and whenever I see one while on holidays, I'll hire it! I don't care how much they cost! And Longitude Lane reminds me of the narrow streets in many old European cities.
ReplyDeleteI have never been in a horse drawn carriage. Maybe next time I will make sure to give one a try! The old streets here do feel very European. There is a French Quarter neighborhood in Charleston.
