The town of Lexington, South Carolina offered free concerts on Thursday nights in September!
The first band we checked out was The Root Doctors of Columbia, SC.
Sol Fusion of Charlotte, NC performed many singalong song which never grow old!
Lastly we saw the Vinyl Junkies of Greenville, NC. Music wise, these guys were totally up my alley.
They were more rock n roll performing hits from great bands like Fleetwood Mac, Santana, Chicago, Hall n Oates and so on!
I imagine this series is great for the Main Street restaurants, all being small businesses. We made pre-concert stops for a snack and beverage. This tasty bit was enjoyed at O'Hara's Public House. Pretzels and beer cheese...yum!
This one below is from Keg Cowboy served with honey dijon and stone ground mustard.
Ok, I know it looks like a pastry rather than a pretzel but it probably looked like a pretzel prior to baking!
Which
is better? These do have completely different vibes but I would choose
the Keg Cowboy because they make all their breads in house and it shows!
This pub also has a great selection of local craft beers which we
appreciate too. Just another way to support local!
If one goes straight to the venue, they will find plenty for their palate under the pavilion. This varied week to week. We saw ice cream, pizza, BBQ, tacos, micro brews, Italian ice and more.
