Our county's Agriculture and Art Tour recently took place. This unique experience invites residents to participating farms to enjoy what they have to offer as well as local artisans.
Although these AG & Art Tours have been taking place for years across South Carolina, it is the first year Lexington County has participated. I suspect this will be a growing event over the coming years as more people are interested in knowing where their food is coming from and having that desire to support local farms.
We started with the Clinton Sease Farm.
I wish I was a kid here!
It is filled with playground activities made with many upcycled materials.
This cluster is tires is a tire maze! Brilliant!
There were a variety of artisan around the farm.K & T Designs |

Demonstrations including honey making and milling grits.
I love seeing the old way of tasks being performed.Ben Compton - artist |
The farm also sells fruit spreads, ciders, pickled good and more made from the crops grown on the farm.
The farm is covered with motif that is fun to peruse!
Photo op objects!
Plenty of flower around.
As you can imagine, this space can be rented for children's birthday parties!
Other events throughout the year here include a corn maze, sunflower weekends, pumpkin patch, hayrides and a cozy campfire.
The AG and Art Tour is organized by the Cooperative Extension, College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences of Clemson University. It is such a great way to bring community together. We visited farms very close to our home that we did not even know existed!
Have a marvelous day/evening (wherever you are on the clock)! ~Val

DeleteYes this is so true, more and more people want to know where their food is coming from. My friend started a company in Seattle called Eat Local and all the food is locally sourced.
