Falls Park on the Reedy

Falls Park on the Reedy is located upstate in Greenville, South Carolina.

The Reedy River was once used by a gristmill to ground up grain into flour. Now this area is enjoyed by tourists and locals alike.

Above the river is a cool walking suspension bridge.

While not a tall fall, it is a pretty one with its rock formations. There are pathways so visitors can hike down onto the rocks.

The grounds offer amazing exercise with plenty of stairs and hills.

It is common to see picnickers here.

Walking the bridge may not be a good idea for someone with vertigo!

Yikes!

It can be uncomfortable looking down but the walk is awesome!

There are benches to relax upon.

If you wander further from the more touristy section, it can be extra peaceful.

There are quiet pathways to meander.

The grounds are beautifully kept with tons of green and flowers.
It is a perfect place to enjoy life and perhaps some take out from one of the many delicious eateries in town.

Have a marvelous day/evening (wherever you are on the clock)! ~Val

  1. It looks a lovely place, you've shared some very nice photographs.
I'm not good with heights so I would give walking the bridge a miss!

    All the best Jan

    1. Thank you Jan. The bridge is quite high in sections! Luckily it can be walked around.

  2. Cool view from the suspension bridge! But my vertigo is acting up right now so you're right -- I'd have to stay off it for sure!

  3. I would avoid the bridge and prefer to walk up and down the stairs then relax in the benches.
    It is a beautiful place.
