Being at Falls Park on the Reedy in Greenville, South Carolina, one may not realize this historic attachment. It is located at the bottom of the falls and off to the right if walking down along the river.
The old spring house above was once used for botanical purposes prior to the creation of this garden in 1934. Now it just adds charm.
This beautiful area to meet up with friends was designed and created by the city, Furman College and the Garden Club.
Above the garden is Furman College. What a perfect spot to unwind after a difficult exam.
Like the rest of the park downtown, this is extremely hilly!
Looking down from above can bring on feelings of vertigo.A step back in time. The Carolina Foothills Garden Club took over here in the 1960s.
I ever visiting Greenville, it is worth wandering out of the beautiful newer park and into this historic oasis.
Have a marvelous day/evening (wherever you are on the clock)! ~Val
